The French-American Foundation – France was established in Paris on 1976, in coordination with its sister Foundation, the French American Foundation in New York. They share the same mission: strengthening the French-American relations and fostering a mutual understanding of each other’s policies and decisions. Both foundations are committed to working jointly.
“ Beyond the gap between the West and the Islamic world: a French-American dialogue”
The international conference “ Beyond the gap between the West and the Islamic world: a French-American dialogue”, is co-organized by the French-American Foundation – France, The Middle-East-Mediterranean Chair program of Sciences Po Paris, and Foreign Policy France.
The conference will explore the grounds for developing positive relations between the West and the Islamic world, to replace hostility and resentment with a dialogue based on trust and understanding.
The conference will bring together key leaders in the fields of politics, business, media, academia, and civil society from the Islamic world and the West to discuss the most effective ways for interaction and collaboration.
"Venture Philanthropy" in the USA
Study trip from November 29 to December 6
From November 29 to December 6 FAF-France will organize a study trip to the US about Venture philanthropy. The meetings with investors, foundations and specialized funds will allow for a better understanding of the best practices and evolutions of these operations linking social issues, managerial skills and venture capital techniques in five main investment fields aimed at better education and health, fighting poverty, Clean-Tech, territorial development and activities in emerging countries. New York, Washington and San Francisco as host cities will allow for a diversified spectrum of experiences opening a debate on what France could learn from this tour..

YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAM 2008
New York, NY (October 8, 2008) – The French-American Foundation and the French-American Foundation - France are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 21st Young Leaders Program. From September 24 to 27, the Foundations hosted a group of thirty-two French and American Young Leaders for a series of seminars, official visits and receptions in Paris and Strasbourg.
